Meet The Trainer
Sorcha Allen CPDT-KA
I've been training dogs of all ages and skill levels since 2017. I spend my free time showing my dogs in conformation, as well as competing in field trials and hunt tests. This year I'm dipping my toes into rally and competitive obedience. I love working with puppies and dogs of all ages and breeds; truly enjoying helping clients build stronger bonds with their pets. My goal is to teach people to successfully speak dog and help them reach all their training goals. I focus on puppies a to z, basic and advanced obedience, Therapy and Service dog training, Canine Good Citizen and trick dog training as well. Whatever your training needs I hope to have the answer and solutions needed to help you reach your goals.
Methodology
At Stellar Canine Training our goal is to have your puppy or dog become a treasured member of your family by providing force-free and scientific based training. We are committed to having integrity and compassion for each team we work with. We promise to always be continuing our education as well as staying up to date with current training techniques.
We use force-free, shock-free, pain-free methods when working with you and your pet. We focus on reward-based and positive training methods for the animals safety as well as promoting healthy socialization and confidence in learning.
We understand that every puppy and dog is a unique individual. Weather you are taking a private lesson or attending a group class we want to give each dog a personalized approach and individual instruction time so we keep our group classes small and offer private lessons at variety of times.
Memberships and Certifications
Our Trainer Sorcha is a Professional member of the Association for Professional Dog Training International, meaning she is committed to furthering her education and focused on staying up to date with the current positive training techniques
Sorcha has also earned her Council of Professional Dog Trainers - Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) certificate which requires 3 years of hands on training experience with a minimum of 300 hours of training time.
Sorcha is also an AKC approved evaluator for all levels of the Canine good Citizen and Trick Dog programs.
